Rewilding in forest springs /Part 4/

A Novel from Sophie Nougué. Part 4

– I’m happy to do this walk with you. Thank you for coming, for accepting my proposal. I’m learning a lot, I’m happy to learn.

– What do you learn from me Yellow, you already know everything ? You and the forest are one. Since yesterday, I have been watching you and I am fascinated by your knowledge. You don’t have a computer or a phone, you’ve never been to school, you’ve spent your life in these forests, in these mountains, you’ve always bathed in the river, your life is simple, harmonious, your friends are sons and daughters of the earth , air, plants and animals, you have more knowledge in astronomy, herbal medicine, natural sciences in the widest possible sense, you see beyond the visible, you feel the wind, the rain, you guess my words, you hear songs that my ear don’t perceive, you know everything that is not learned in books, you are connected to everything, you have nothing, you are free… Your life is full and you still have this ability to welcome the stranger with the curiosity and love of a child who marvels. You are a humble, generous being, you ask nothing, you give everything with joy in your heart, every step of your actions invites respect, so tell me what do you learn from me, Yellow ?

– You have something more than knowing it. You have wisdom. You have gold in your hands because you are authentic. In the tangle of the paths of life you have known, you are your good star. You’re listening. Few people know how to be authentic. You feed me your pacified mind. You have the understanding and respect for everything that happens to you. Last night, an ancestor came to tell me about you. You have experienced exile, that of leaving the earth where you had built everything with your hands, you have experienced inner exile, the loss of your friends, your brothers of souls and you have kept within you, the love of life. When you had nothing left, you still got away from everything. You cut off all your ties to connect you over the course of your life. Your strength will take you back to the place you love, where your friends and family are waiting for you.

– You are right, I have confidence and respect for everything that happens to me. Life knows what I don’t know, I accept it and it gives me a lot of joy. The trials on our way are always positive experiences to give us the desire to go further, to raise ourselves. Thank you Yellow, for those words, for your word. You too are a beautiful star, since you guide me through the forest, day and night. I’m happy to be here, to learn from you. Thank you for leading me to the source.

– The source of life is already in you. Later you will mix your life with the pure source that comes out of the bowels of the earth and I want you to teach me to stay still, to breathe the water!

– Yes, I will teach you!

– Let’s keep going, we’ve got a long way to go. Eat those leaves, we’ve talked a lot, you need to get your strength back. Drink a lot, from now on you no longer speak, walk without thinking and you will feel the vibrations of the source that prepare you for the bath of origins.

– Yellow, can I still ask you a question?

– I know what you want to ask me. Let your thoughts cross you, breathe with your whole body and when we get there, you’ll have found the answer for yourself.

Yellow had disappeared, absorbed by the tall grasses. The sky was a huge blue with no clouds, the sun at the zenith above our heads. I chewed the leaves one after the other, swallowing the juice that gently paralyzed my tongue. My strengths were coming back, my mind was clear, quiet and focused on the pace of footsteps.
